Katrin and Ruben live on the island and run every stay in person, bringing decades of international hospitality experience to a place built for exactly this kind of care.
Katrin
Katrin brings more than twenty years of international experience in tourism, hospitality, and destination marketing to the island. An Austrian with a background in Business Administration, she speaks four languages fluently, German, English, Spanish, and French, and has lived and worked in Austria, France, Norway, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and the United States. Her career includes tourism strategy work for the City of Vienna, along with speaking at tourism conferences and organizing events for tourism professionals across Europe. She spent nearly a decade running her own boutique lodge in the Costa Rican jungle, where she designed and built her own distinctive dome house and became an Airbnb Superhost known for creating exceptional, highly personal guest experiences.
Naturally creative, curious, and resourceful, Katrin has an impressive range of skills, from hospitality to cheesemaking, soapmaking, web design, art, building, and interior design. She is a creator at heart who loves bringing beautiful, thoughtful ideas to life and finding new ways to make people feel at home. With her international experience, warm personality, and instinct for anticipating what guests need, Katrin is the person on site making sure every stay on the island feels effortless, personal, and unforgettable.
Ruben
Ruben brings more than twenty-five years of hands-on experience in premium hospitality, restaurants, hotels, and events, with a career that began in Ibiza and has taken him through restaurants and hospitality projects across Europe, Asia, and Central America. He has worked in restaurant and hospitality management, consulting, event planning, and operations, and has been involved in everything from developing concepts to day-to-day operations. With a particular talent for guest experiences, he understands what happens behind the scenes to make a property run smoothly, and how to make guests feel genuinely cared for.
A natural host and passionate cook, Ruben loves creating food that brings people together, especially creative dishes made with fresh local ingredients. He is energetic and solution oriented, with an impressive ability to navigate the unexpected challenges of island life.
Together with Katrin, he brings the perfect combination of professional hospitality experience, culinary creativity, hands-on skills, and genuine warmth to island life, making sure guests are not only well looked after, but truly feel at home.
