What we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you choose to send us, and what is gathered automatically while you browse.

What you send us

When you use the inquiry form, we receive:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to add it
• Your travel dates, or a note that you are flexible
• Your group size
• Your message, and anything you decide to tell us in it about your plans, such as an occasion or dietary needs
• The occasion you were looking at, such as a wedding or a family gathering, if you reached the form from one of our Occasions pages. This is filled in automatically from the link you followed.

If you email us directly, or message us on WhatsApp or Instagram, we receive whatever you include, along with the details those services normally pass along, such as your email address, phone number, or profile name. Please share only what helps us plan your stay.

What is collected automatically

When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically by our website host and by the analytics and advertising tools described below:

• Technical details such as your IP address, browser, device type, operating system, and language setting
• Your approximate location, such as country or city, estimated from your IP address
• The pages you view, how long you stay, and how you arrived, such as from a search, an ad, or another website
• Whether an inquiry was sent successfully. We record that an inquiry happened, not what it said.

What we never collect here

This site does not take bookings or payments. It never asks for, and never collects, credit card numbers, bank details, or any other payment or financial information. If you book a stay with us, payment is handled separately, outside this website.

How we use it

• To answer your inquiry and help you plan a stay, including follow-up emails, messages, or calls about the dates and details you asked about
• To keep a record of our conversations, so we remember what you told us and do not ask twice
• To understand how visitors use the site, which pages are helpful, and what needs work
• To measure how well our ads on Google, Facebook, and Instagram perform, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site or are likely to be interested in a stay
• To keep the site secure and working properly

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to anyone for their own marketing. We share information only with the service providers that help run this site, and only as needed for the purposes above.

• Web3Forms. The inquiry form is delivered by Web3Forms, a third-party form service. When you press Send, your inquiry goes to Web3Forms, which emails it to us. Web3Forms handles it under its own privacy policy.
• Google. Google Analytics measures traffic to the site, and Google uses that information to help us measure our Google ads. The site’s fonts are also served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address when it does. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.
• Meta. The Meta Pixel measures visits and inquiries that come from our Facebook and Instagram ads, and helps us show ads to people who may be interested. If you are signed in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may connect this activity to your account under its own privacy policy.
• Cloudflare. Our website host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare handles these under its own privacy policy.

Google and Meta act under their own policies and may combine what they collect here with information they already hold. We do not control how they use it, so we encourage you to read their policies.

These providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries outside Panama.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of our guests, staff, or property, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser so it can recognize that browser on a later visit. Pixels and similar technologies work in much the same way.

The pages of this site do not need cookies to work. The cookies you will find here come from our analytics and advertising tools:

• Google Analytics sets cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones and to count visits and pages viewed.
• The Meta Pixel sets cookies to connect visits and inquiries to the Facebook and Instagram ads that led to them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work normally without them.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and our conversations with you for as long as we need them to answer you and plan your stay. After that, we keep them only as long as is reasonable for our business records, such as a history of past guests and correspondence, and then delete them.

Google and Meta keep analytics and advertising data according to their own settings and policies. Web3Forms sets its own practices for any copy of an inquiry it keeps after delivering it to us.

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable care with the information you send us. No website or email system can promise perfect security, which is one more reason to share only what helps us plan.

Your choices and rights

You can write to us at any time to:

• See what we have. We will tell you what information we hold about you from your inquiry and our conversations.
• Correct it. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
• Delete it. Email [email protected] and ask us to delete your inquiry and our correspondence, and we will, unless we need to keep something to complete a booking you have made or to meet a legal obligation.
• Stop hearing from us. Tell us and we will stop contacting you.

We answer these requests personally and as quickly as we can. We may ask you to confirm it is really you before we share or delete anything, usually by replying from the email address you used.

Limiting analytics and advertising

Your browser gives you control as well:

• Block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
• Use an ad blocker, or the tracking protection built into browsers such as Safari, Firefox, and Brave. These can stop Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel from running at all.
• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Manage ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center, and in the ad preferences of your Facebook or Instagram settings.

Some browsers also send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how websites should respond to it, and Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel do not change their behavior because of it, so the controls above are the more reliable choice.

Children’s privacy

This site is meant for adults planning travel. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our practices change, for example when we open for bookings or add new tools. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version, so please check back from time to time.
